The June 26-27 Small Bar Conference held at the Philadelphia Bar Association was once again a smash hit. Forty-three small bar executives were in attendance to hear and learn valuable and relevant information for running a small bar association from outstanding national speakers as Bob Harris, Ed McMillan, and Karl E. Emerson.
The attendees also heard practical insight from current NABE members David Drager and
Pat Yevics. A special treat was a Saturday morning visit with on-target communications and public relations advice from former NABE members and Philadelphia employees Dan Cirucci
and Mark Tarasiewicz.
Ken Shear, the executive director of the Philadelphia Bar, and his staff were wonderful hosts and the bar facilities were ideally suited for the event.
I couldn’t end this report without acknowledging Yvonne McGhee of the Fairfax Bar Association for her leadership in pulling off another successful SBC. Yvonne hands off the leadership role of the conference to Doris Barnes of the Baltimore County Bar next year.
